| April 25, 2007--Actor Sam Waterston, a volunteer spokesman for Unity08,
addresses a National Press Club luncheon. According to a press release
Waterston stated that, "Unity08's goal is nothing less than to resurrect
our lost political values and rescue tomorrow from today's neglect; to
restore honest cooperation for the common good, and get agreement on the
ominous backlog of crucial issues." More concretely, Unity08 is seeking
to build a movement that will elect a Unity Ticket consisting of members
of both the major parties and/or an independent to the White House in 2008.
