| May 16, 2007--Former Senator John Edwards (D-NC) was one of several
candidates to speak at the International Association of Machinists and
Aerospace Workers (IAM) meeting. IAM represents "more than 700,000
active and retired members under more that 4,000 contracts in transportation,
aerospace, manufacturing, shipbuilding, electronics and defense related
industries." On May 1 Edwards spoke to about thousand machinists
and other union members at IAM District 751 Hall in Seattle in the second
one the AFL-CIO's Working Families Vote 2008 national town hall forums. |
