| July 14, 2007--Representatives of EastBanc, Inc., including vice president Joe Sternlieb (right), addressed a meeting of Friends of West End Library about ideas for library planning and design after the DC City Council passed emergency legislation granting the developer rights to the the West End Library space. Many in the audience were highly skeptical, and one proposal, putting the library above a fire station, drew incredulous laughs. |
