Beltway Happenings 
Jan. 15, 2009--Ikea's family room on wheels makes its inaugural appearance in downtown DC.  A week or so earlier the company's "Embrace Change" campaign debuted at a number of Metro stations.   Exciting! slogans! include "Change Begins at Home!," "Fiscally Responsible Home Furnishings for All!" and "The Time for Domestic Reform Is Now!" and "Family Values Belong in the Family Room!"  The EmbraceChange09.com website, which has an animation of two men removing a couch from the Oval Office, invites users to, "Speak out and let the president know your suggestions for fiscally responsible home furnishings."
