Jan. 11, 2009--Much attention is paid to the first 100 days of any new Administration, and various interest groups push for their priorities to be addressed promptly. One such effort is the 100 Days Campaign to Close Guantánamo and End Torture, which held a demonstration on the seventh anniversary of the arrival of the first prisoners at Guantánamo. |
"The 100 Days Campaign
was initiated by Witness
Against Torture in conjunction with the Center for Constitutional Rights,
Pax Christi USA, School of the Americas Watch, September 11th Families for
Peaceful Tomorrows, Torture
Abolition and Survivors Support Coalition International, United for Peace and Justice,
and the War Resisters League."
