RNC Chairman Responds to Democrat Panderfest
WASHINGTON – RNC Chairman Robert M. “Mike” Duncan issued the following statement in response to today’s Democrat debate in Iowa:
“Iowans have been instrumental in judging presidential candidates for
many years, and I doubt they were fooled by the Democrats’ panderfest today.
The Democrats talk about supporting Iowa, but want to repeal tax cuts that
are helping 1.1 million Iowans. They talk about supporting ethanol,
but their frontrunners have repeatedly voted against measures that would
increase ethanol production. Of course, there was one bit of pandering
that rang true: the pandering to the far left when the Democrats talked
about raising our taxes or pulling out of Iraq and leaving it in the hands
of terrorists.”
