Governor Mitt Romney’s Michigan Commonwealth PAC unveiled a 75-member Steering Committee today consisting of prominent Republicans and business leaders from across the state. The Steering committee will provide guidance to Romney as he continues to provide financial and political support to Michigan Republican candidates in 2006.

      The Commonwealth PAC’s Michigan Steering Committee includes 7 members of President Bush’s Ranger/Pioneer finance team, 37 members of the Michigan House of Representatives, including Speaker Craig DeRoche, grassroots activists who serve as County and District Chairs, and members of the Michigan Republican State Committee.  Other members of the Steering Committee include: Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson, Congressman Joe Knollenberg, Peter Karmanos of Detroit-based Compuware and J.C. Huizenga of Grand Rapids.
