Western Iowa
Woodbury (4/20/07)
Chair Debi Durham:  President of the Siouxland Chamber Of Commerce since 1995; also President of the Siouxland Initiative, the economic development corporation serving the tri-state metropolitan area.  Republican nominee for Iowa lieutenant governor in 2002.  B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing and Management from Missouri Southern State University.
 

Pottawattamie (4/13/07)
Chair Matt Schultz:  Elected to the Council Bluffs City Council in 2005.  Recently completed law school at Creighton University, and now practices with Smith Peterson in Council Bluffs.  He and his wife Zola have two children.
 

Mills (4/13/07)
Chair Lynda Thomas:  Teaches second grade at Glenwood Elementary School and is co-chair of the Mills County Republicans.  She and her husband Sam are active members of First Christian Church in Council Bluffs.
 

Harrison (4/13/07)
Co-Chair Mark Westermeyer:  Retired from Hallmark Cards.  He and his wife Laura have three children and nine grandchildren.

Co-Chair Don Blackford:  Blackford has been active in the Harrison County Republicans.  He and his wife Stephanie reside in Missouri Valley.
 

Sioux (3/14/07)
Mick Snieder:  A native of Sioux County, Snieder is a recent graduate of Northwestern College, and currently lives in Orange City with his wife, Crystal.  He worked on State Sen. Steve King's first campaign for Congress and has participated in several other campaigns.  In 2003, Snieder was elected to the Orange City Council.
 
 

Central Iowa

Cerro Gordo (3/14/07)
Co-Chairs Bart And Jody Pals:  Having lived in Cerro Gordo County for 29 years, they are regular caucus attendees and have been active in the political process for the past 10 years.  Jody is a member of the Cerro Gordo County Republican Women.  Both are active leaders in the 4-H Club. (3/14/07)

Co-Chair Deb Hunt:  Active in politics since moving to Mason City in 1980, she is the past Secretary of the Cerro Gordo County Central Committee, and currently serves as Membership Chair of the Cerro Gordo County Republican Women.  She taught economics at North Iowa Area Community College for 13 years, and lives in Mason City with her husband, Dr. Sam Hunt, and has two grown sons, Ben and Bill.

Story (4/13/07)
Chair Kevin Kimle:  Has been involved in a number of local, state and national campaigns.  Currently President of Decision Commodities, a company that provides agricultural commodity sellers and buyers integrated risk management products.  Master's degree in economics from Iowa State University, and B.S. in agricultural economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Co-Chair Gannon Hendrick:  Recently served in Iraq for one year, where he was in charge of intelligence operations for his battalion.  Upon his return from the service, he enrolled at Iowa State University, while also working on his family's farm operation.  He now serves as a Warren Township Trustee, following a recent attempt at Story County Supervisor.

Former State Senator Stewart Iverson:  Advisor to the Romney for President campaign.   In 2006 Iverson served as a top adviser to Governor George Pataki's 21st Century Freedom PAC.  Served in the the Iowa Senate from 1994 to 2006, including as the top-ranking Republican in the Senate from 1997-2006, and in Iowa House from 1989-94.  Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps.   From Dows, in north-central Iowa.

Representative Dave Deyoe:  Elected to the House in 2006 representing eastern Story County and portions of Hamilton County.  He runs his family farm, and has previously been actively involved in the Iowa Farm Bureau.

Mary Mosiman:  Serving her second term as Story County Auditor and Commissioner Of Elections.  Prior to becoming Auditor, she owned and operated a daycare business for five years.  Graduate of Iowa State University and has CPA certification.

Rick And Sandy Hoenig:  Active on a number of campaigns, including U.S. Sen, Charles Grassley's campaigns, and Bob Vander Plaats' gubernatorial campaign.  Rick is currently the assistant director for Facilities and Management with the Ames Community School District.  Sandy is a retired school counselor and currently facilitates classes and retreats on the subject of The Joy of Forgiveness.
 
 

Eastern Iowa

Linn (9/7/07)
Joni Scotter, Chair:  Joni is a former Co-Chair of the Linn County Republican Party and previously served as President of the Linn County Republican Women.  She has been instrumental in a number of Republican campaigns for the last 20 years.  In the community, Joni serves on the selection committee for the Linn County Woman of the Year and is a member of the League of Women Voters.  She and her husband Dick have two grown sons, and two grandchildren.

Brent and Renee Schulte:  Renee ran as the Republican candidate for the Iowa Senate in 2006.  She currently is an adjunct professor at Mt. Mercy College in Cedar Rapids.  She serves as a board member of House of Hope, Aid to Women, and the League of Women Voters. They are both active members of Antioch Christian Church, where Brent is Discipleship Pastor at Antioch Church, and Renee is a women's ministry leader.

Tom and Kathy Potts:  Kathy is a former Chair of the Linn County Republican Party.  She is an advisory board member for the Iowa Federation of Republican Women, as well as the National Federation of Republican Women.  Tom is an engineer at Rockwell Collins.  They have four children.

Tim Palmer:  Tim is a small business owner in the food manufacturing industry, founding Clover Hill Creations in 2001.  He serves on the Board of Directors for Hawkeye Area Council of Boy Scouts of America.  Tim and his wife, Carol, are members of Antioch Christian Church and have nine children.

Don Palmer:  Don was the Republican candidate for the Iowa House District 38 in 2006.  He is a lifelong Iowan, Boy Scout Leader and teaches Sunday School at First Lutheran Church.

Frank Sladek:  Frank has been involved in Linn County Republican politics for nearly 30 years.  He is currently an Adjunct Professor of Speech Communication Theatre at Kirkwood Community College.  He is very active in Spirit of Faith Family Church, the Boy Scouts of America, and the Hawkeye Area Council.
 

Scott (4/19/07)
Chair Roby Smith:  Republican nominee for Iowa House District 85 in the 2006 election.  B.S. in Business Administration from Concordia University in Seward, NE.  Smith and his wife Kari reside in Davenport and belong to Trinity Lutheran Church.

State Representative Linda Miller:  Miller was first elected to the Iowa House, District 82, in 2006.  Earlier this month, Romney for President announced her as part of the campaign's Legislative Leadership Team.

Brian Kennedy:  Kennedy is the former Chairman of the Republican Party of Iowa, managed Governor Branstad's 1994 campaign and assisted in Lamar Alexander's presidential campaign.  In 2006, Kennedy ran for the 1st Congressional District Republican nomination.  Most recently, he chaired Senator Bill Frist's VOLPAC.

Greg Adamson:  Adamson is a retired Lt. Col. in the Army, and a retired Bettendorf Police Captain.  He spent seven years on the Bettendorf Park Board, and also has served four years as a Scott County Supervisor.  A lifelong resident of the Quad Cities, he and his wife Sandra have three children and six grandchildren.

Carol Crain:  Crain has been active in Republican politics since 2000, when she helped organize the Bush for President Campaign in Scott County, and volunteered on Jim Nussle's Congressional campaign.  She is an active member at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, and is the Americanism Chair of the Scott County Republican Women.

Jason Gordon:  Gordon has eight years experience in the Davenport District Offices of both Congressman Jim Leach and Congressman Jim Nussle.  A long-time resident of Scott County, Gordon has been involved in multiple local elections.

Paul Janecek:  Janecek is a former State House candidate, and currently co-chairs the Scott County Republican Party.  He is Commander of Chapter 2 of DAV, and is past state Commander of DAV.  He is Vice President of Fejevary Zoological Society, and is active in CASI.  He is also active in Scott County Right to Life.

Vincie Metcalf:  A long-time resident of Scott County, and a very active participant in the Scott County Republican Party.  She was a Metro Field Coordinator for the Forbes' 2000 Presidential Campaign.  She also volunteers for the Bettendorf School System.

Jane Murphy:  Murphy worked in Congressman Jim Leach's office for 15 years.  She has been very active in the local Republican Party, and has assisted many campaigns.
