Let Freedom Ring
"Gaffney/Obama/Biden"
60-second ad run latter part of Oct. 2008 on national cable and in
battleground states. |
Frank Gaffney:
People talk about the United States [Music starts] being the
sole superpower. In fact that's a product of decisions, in some
cases decisions that were made 20 years ago by President Reagan. [No Music] Obama (clip): I will cut
investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will
slow our development of future combat systems. [Music] Frank Gaffney:
The consequences of four years of incompetent government in the
military and national security arena could be disastrous. [No Music] Obama (clips): I will not
develop new nuclear weapons. ...You know where I stand. [Music] Frank Gaffney: When we see
candidates taking positions that unmistakenly convey a
determination neither to use military power nor to ensure that they
have it at their disposal should it be necessary...they are conveying
to our enemies weakness, and weakness invites aggression. [No Music] Biden (audio clip, very poor
quality): "...it will not be six months before the world tests
Barack Obama... I guarantee you, it's going to happen." Male Announcer:

advertising. |
Notes:
Gaffney is identified on screen as Former Assistant Secretary of
Defense for International Security Policy (Acting), a position he
served in during the Reagan Administration. He is founder and
president of the Center for Security Policy. Thirty-second Gaffney/Obama and Gaffney/Biden versions of this ad were also produced. |
