Hello All:
 
As you know, the prospective 2008 presidential candidates are heading to NH - many have already spent considerable time here.  We will all be asked to look at each of them and choose who we will support in 2008.  Now if you know me well, you know that I am an unapologetic and proud liberal.  I believe in what liberals traditionally believe - a woman's right to choose, peace and safety in the world, a fair education for all children, etc.  When I look for a candidate to support in 2008, I tried to pick the person who met most of my requirements for not only getting elected but also for becoming a great president.
 
When I weighed the plusses and minuses of all of the prospective candidates, one candidate consistently rose to the top.  His experience was far more accomplished than any of his peers' and his morals and personal integrity were beyond reproach.
 
His attributes are:

• Unimpeachable integrity
• Served 2 consecutive terms as Governor of a "red" state - with an 80% approval rating!
• As Governor, he was responsible for the largest single tax cut in his state's history - $1.6 BILLION dollars.  The fiercely Republican-supporting Wall Street Journal said of him," ... his record is one of a genuinely fiscally conservative Democrat!"
• He served 8 years as Governor and DID NOT RAISE TAXES ONCE!
• He increased annual school funding every year of his 8 years in office.
• He instituted a 21st Century Scholars program that provides a full college scholarship to high school students who maintain passing grades, and who pledge not to experiment with illegal drugs.
• He created over 350,000 new jobs in his state during his tenure.
• He is now serving his 2nd term as US Senator of that "red" state.  A very important fact that you should know is that George W. Bush won this "red"state by over 510K votes over John Kerry in 2004.  However, this US Senator got nearly 20K MORE votes than even George W. Bush did!  Not only Democrats, but Independents. moderates and liberals all supported this man.
• As US Senator he currently serves on the Armed Services Committee and the Select Committee on Intelligence.  His experience in these areas will serve us and protect us well in this very dangerous world.
• This year, he proposed a resolution to deal with Iran's nuclear program - one of the very few Senators to directly deal with that dangerous situation and to propose concrete solutions to remedy it.
• Without declaring his possible intentions, he has already raised over $10 Million dollars in his campaign warchest from people who want him to run as the Democrat who can appeal to not only the Democratic base, but also to "middle America."
