October 5, 2007--Americans for Prosperity Foundation's "Defending the
American Dream Summit" drew seven Republican candidates who took the opportunity
to address over a thousand activists from 35 states. (Sen. John McCain
spoke at a cocktail reception on the evening of October 4). According
to its mission statement, "AFPF is a nationwide organization of citizen
leaders committed of advancing every individual's right to economic freedom
and opportunity."
