April 14, 2007--Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was the final speaker of the evening. He focused on Iraq, stating that "we have a new strategy and we have a new general, and we can and will prevail and succeed in Iraq." "If you read Zarqawi, you read bin Laden, you'll see that it's not Iraq they want; they want to destroy us and if we leave, they will follow us home," McCain warned. (speech) |
