GIULIANI County Chair: Deborah Acuff VonSprecken of Olin Giuliani made an unannounced visit to the farm of Jerry and Deborah VonSprecken in Olin, Iowa on May 14, 2007 and met with them for about two hours. The campaign had planned for Giuliani to do an event at the farm on his May 4 visit and the VonSpreckens had begun preparations only to have an aide call and unartfully cancel the event. Giuliani learned about the misunderstanding in the media and came to make amends, which seems to have worked as the campaign issued a press release announcing Deborah VonSprecken as Jones County chair. |
