in Cedar Rapids; delivered a speech on Nuremberg at the University of Iowa

for Dave Loebsack at a private home in Iowa City; and attended a reception
with returned Peace Corps volunteers at Oasis Falafel in Iowa City.
On the morning of October 18 he appeared at a fire fighters rally
with congressional candidate Bruce Braley, Tom Powers of the Waterloo Fire
Fighters, and State Senator Jeff Danielson at Cedar Falls Fire Station;
did private meetings during the day; and in the evening spoke at a fundraiser
for congressional candidate Dr. Selden Spencer at the home of Gregg Gustafson
and Peg Armstrong-Gustafson, with special guest Sen. Tom Harkin in Waukee.

appeared at a post-canvass volunteer rally with State Senate candidate
Rich Olive and State Rep. candidate Susan Radke at Kiwanis Park in Nevada;
appeared at a campaign event for State Rep. Mark Smith at Marshalltown
Democratic headquarters on West Main Street; and made remarks at Johnson
County Democrats' annual barbeque at the North Liberty Community Center
(Gerdin Conference Center) in North Liberty. On September 10
he held a roundtable discussion with education leaders at Drake's Diner
in Des Moines; and appeared at a campaign event for Congressman Boswell
at a private home in Des Moines.
