Washington, D.C.—This week, AARP CEO Bill Novelli will visit
three Iowa cities to launch the AARP Iowa Caucus campaign, Divided We
Fail, and announce results of a new poll of likely Iowa caucus voters
on health care and long-term financial security issues. The news
conferences will be Wednesday, March 28 in Des Moines, and Thursday,
March 29, in Cedar Rapids and Davenport.
As the first-in-the-nation caucus state, AARP will be focusing attention
and resources in Iowa to mobilize our 380,000 members to demand action,
answers and accountability on the issues of health care and long-term financial
security.

BACKGROUND:
Recently, AARP unveiled Divided We Fail (www.dividedwefail.org), a national effort designed to engage the American people, elected officials and the business community to find broad-based, bi-partisan solutions to the most compelling domestic issues facing the nation – health care and the long-term financial security of Americans. The campaign will encompass traditional grassroots work, advertising in national outlets and in the primary states, and online activities which will engage the public, business and elected officials in the debate, encouraging public leaders to offer solutions.
