CROWN TO PUBLISH NEW BOOK
THAT OUTLINES BARACK OBAMA'S VISION FOR AMERICA
WITH A FOREWORD BY BARACK OBAMA

Monday, August 11, 2008 - New York, NY - Crown Publishers has acquired world rights to CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN: Barack Obama's Plan to Renew America's Promise.  The book will describe and explain how Senator Obama will change Washington and what that change will mean to the American people.  To be published by Crown's paperback imprint, Three Rivers Press, CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN will be written by the staff of Obama for America, with a foreword by Barack Obama. Publication is scheduled for September 9, 2008.

Random House Audio will release the audio version simultaneous to the book's release, and the e-book version will be released one day prior, on September 8, 2008.

In his foreword, Barack Obama will discuss his agenda for change and his views on the importance of this election. Part One of the book will offer bold and specific ideas about how to fix our ailing economy and strengthen the middle class, make healthcare affordable for all, achieve energy independence, and keep America safe in a dangerous world. Part Two of the book will include seven of the key speeches delivered by Obama in the course of this historic campaign, among them the declaration of his candidacy for President; his victory speech after the Iowa caucus; his speech on race in America, "A More Perfect Union"; and his address to the people of Berlin.

CHANGE WE CAN BELIEVE IN will be the essential guide for anyone who wants to learn more about how Barack Obama will tackle our nation's most pressing
challenges.
