Former Sen. Tom Daschle announced on December 2, 2006 that he would not run for president.

>Former Sen. Tom Daschle visited NH on June 8, 2006.  He spoke at a private luncheon for the New Hampshire Democratic Senate Caucus at the Puritan Restaurant and Conference Center in Manchester; did a couple of hours of unscheduled driving in Manchester, including stops at the Merrimack Restaurant on Elm Street, Central High School, and the Flood Recovery Center; met with labor representatives at the NH AFL-CIO headquarters in Hooksett; participated in a NH AFL-CIO sponsored Working Families Forum with congressional candidate Jim Craig at UA 131 Hall in Hooksett; and spoke at a fundraiser for Craig at the home of Alderman Mark Roy in Manchester.
