Political Director/State Director Jarel LaPan
(succeeded Rob Hill)  During the primaries LaPan served as Oregon political director, Massachusetts state director, and started out working on the NH primary campaign doing health care, environment, disabilities, sportsmen in the political department.  Worked in state government in Montana.  In Fall 2004 LaPan was early vote/vote by mail deputy at the DNC.  Worked on Howard Dean's 2003-04 NH primary campaign first as a Seacoast area organizer then as the regional director in the Concord office.  Graduate of The George Washington University with a degree in political science, May 2003.  From Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Field director on Obama's Oregon primary campaign; started as Manchester regional field director on Obama's NH primary campaign.  A regional field director on Jon Tester’s 2006 U.S. Senate race in Montana.  A field organizer in Gresham (Multnomah County East) on Carry Oregon, the 2004 Democratic Coordinated Campaign.  Raised in Seattle; originally from Massachusetts.

(A deputy political director for the Obama campaign in Oregon during the primary)  Deputy field director at the Democratic Party of Oregon and worked for the DNC in 2006-08 as one of the 50-state partnership staff; started working at the DPO in Feb. 2004 and served as volunteer coordinator on Carry Oregon (Coordinated Campaign) in Fall 2004.  Worked as a car salesman for a year.  Started political activity with Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility in 2000.  Studied cultural anthropology at Reed College.  Grew up in Rhinebeck, NY and Massachusetts.
