Obama Campaign for Change to Host “100 Days” Events across Wisconsin

More than 100 events planned Saturday

MADISON, WI—This Saturday, July 26, U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s Campaign for Change will hold more than 100 organizational events to celebrate the 100 days remaining until Election Day on November 4th.   Events will range from canvasses to bike rides, from house parties to platform meetings, and will provide voters with the opportunity to get involved in working to ensure a fundamental change in Washington this fall.

“All over Wisconsin, people are excited about real change in this country that will revitalize our economy, introduce a comprehensive energy policy, and responsibly end the war in Iraq,” said Dan Kanninen, Obama for America Wisconsin State Director.  “These events are a prime opportunity to continue building momentum and harnessing the unprecedented enthusiasm for Senator Obama’s candidacy we're seeing across the state."

The massive organizing push is the latest example of the intensity of Senator Obama’s Campaign for Change, and its efforts to win Wisconsin.  Over the past two weeks, the campaign has held 16 official office openings, attended by nearly 3,000 energized Wisconsin volunteers.

Below is a partial listing of events which are open to members of the media.  All events are Saturday, July 26.  For more information, please contact Phil Walzak, 608-215-0435 or Matt Lehrich, 605-254-5195.
