Paul said he was pleasantly surprised with the progress of his campaign.  Communications director Jesse Benton (on the phone above) sent out a statement:  "...We are still finalizing the numbers, but we raised about 2.4 million in Q2, up from $640,000 in Q1.  More exciting, we have 2.4 million cash on hand, more than John McCain."
