started, workers placed State of Maryland seal stickers on the
Certificate of Ascertainment and Certificate of Vote forms. |

| State Rep. Sheila Hixson, chair of the Ways and Means Committee, John P. McDonough, Maryland Secretary of State, and Donna Duncan, Director of the Election Management Division at the Maryland State Board Of Elections, discussed the schedule for the day. |

| Audience members lined up to get
signatures of the electors on their programs. Among those in the
audience were a couple of dozen students; Laurence Block brought about
15
mostly ninth grade government students from Broadneck High School in
Annapolis and Denise Vogt brought about ten 7th and 8th graders from
the School of the Incarnation in Gambrills. |
