Alabama
for Romney or Mitt Romney for President in 2008
"A grassroots effort dedicated
to informing and uniting Alabama in support of Mitt Romney for President
in 2008!"
launched Aug. 27, 2006 by
Karl Basham
"I'm in the Air Force. I
moved alot in my life but Alabama is where I call home. My father retired
from the Army at Enterprise AL and I graduated high school there. I also
attended the local community college and later went on to Troy University
(Troy State in my day). My wife is form McCalla and attended the University
of Alabama, so yes we are Tide fans. We love the state, its just home."
Note
The Birmingham News
reported on Dec. 7, 2006 that in 2006 Romney's Commonwealth PAC made $143,500
in campaign contributions to Alabama Republican candidates and party organizations,
more than any other presidential prospect.
