Joseph Williams of Vacaville, California, appeared wearing the shirt of his son Lance Corporal Michael Jason Williams, who was lost in An Nasariyah, Iraq on March 23, 2003.  Cindy Sheehan also hails from Vacaville, but, said Williams, "She and I have a definite disagreement on our points of view."  He participated in the "You Don't Speak For Me, Cindy" bus tour.

Williams stated:

"I fought in Vietnam and I had to listen to people like her and the bunch of people that--  I had to listen to 'em over there and I can tell you, the guys and I did not like that.  It pissed us off.  And I know the guys who are over there in Iraq and Afghanistan now, I bet you 10 to 1 they feel exactly the same way, as a matter of fact I'd bet on it.  I decided to join the tour, take time off and go across America, and I can tell you it was wonderful."

Debra Johns, founder of Marine Moms of Northern California, also participated in the bus tour.  She stated:

"I've been going from state to state, city to city, and saying "Cindy Sheehan, you don't speak for me and you are not the voice of the majority of the American public.

"I'm not sure what part of this sign that she did not understand: Support our Troops: The Army, the Navy, the Air Force, and the Marines.  What doesn't she get?

"You know I have two things I'd like to say to President Bush today.  Mr. President, I certainly would love to have the opportunity to have a meeting with you, to shake your hand, to thank you for being a great leader, to thank you for being a Godly man and someone my son can be proud to serve [inaudible].  And then I have a request of President Bush.  I need to ask President Bush, may I please borrow the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan because there was about 100,000 people with Cindy Sheehan yesterday that I'd like to ship to Iran."
