NADER/GONZALEZ SUBMIT SIGNATURES FOR NEVADA BALLOT LINE

THE NADER/GONZALEZ CAMPAIGN THURSDAY WILL SUBMIT MORE THAN 12,000 SIGNATURES FOR THE NEVADA BALLOT LINE, FAR SURPASSING REQUIREMENT

JULY 3, 2008--The Nader/Gonzalez presidential campaign today will celebrate the end of a petition drive for ballot status in Nevada with the submission of more than 12,000 signatures (5,746 signatures are required) to the Secretary of State.

At 10:00 a.m., Nader/Gonzalez Regional Coordinator Dutch Merrick will host a news conference on the West Front Steps of the Nevada State Capitol in Carson City.

Presently, the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign has seven teams in seven states collecting signatures for ballot access. This past Sunday, on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," Mr. Nader announced his campaign will be on the ballot in 45 states.

In 2004 the Democratic Party and their allies initiated frivolous lawsuits aimed at keeping the Nader/Camejo ticket off the ballots in 18 states, denying voters the choice of an Independent candidacy for President and Vice President. In 2008 the Nader/Gonzalez Campaign is cautioning the Democratic Party not to misuse the court system with baseless political challenges and to honor the will of the people for more choices on the ballot.

The Nader/Gonzalez grass-roots campaign will open its Nevada Campaign Office on July 26, 2008. The Office is located within a complex at 2385 N. Decatur Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89108.

The opening will take place between 5:30 to 6:30 pm and Ralph Nader is scheduled to attend via conference call.

This is a historic milestone for Ralph Nader's Nevada volunteers, whose numbers are growing in this battleground state and whose commitment to re-establishing government (at all levels) which is responsive to citizens' needs, not corporate convenience at the cost and peril of us, the people.

We believe that the office will be a beacon and meeting place for the encouragement of citizen activists of like minds and those tired of choosing between evils when casting their vote.

All those interested in furthering genuine U.S. style democracy through us reverting to government of the people, by the people-instead of government dominated by corporations are welcome to come on by for a chat with our volunteers, view a video made by Ralph for this occasion and perhaps participate in the conference call with Ralph.
